A walk along the rainbow: 420nm

I took my camera to my lab at work and measured it's spectral sensitivity. 380nm: nothing. 390nm: nothing. 400nm: nothing. 410nm: nothing. 420: this is the deepest blue it can see. Bandwidth is about 6nm. It is amazing to see these pure rainbow colors from the monochromator that you will never see in nature. On your monitor it is by far not as clear and pure as in reality. Here are the limits of photography. You only see what your montors blue pixels look like. Oh, yes, I need to clean the sensor.
